Shippers Products air bags effectively brace goods against the potentially damaging motions caused by pitch, roll, heave, sway and surge of a ship at sea. In most cases, an entire load can be effectively braced with one or two dunnage air bags placed properly at the rear of the load. The combined frictional forces between the product and the sidewalls restrains the remainder of the load from moving. Air bags fill the lateral void and hold product securely against sidewalls.
Sea container loads are only regulated by the Association of American Railroads (AAR) when transported via rail to and from ports. However, we recommend using at minimum a Level 1 AAR verified air bag.
