How Airbags Work

During Less than Truckload transit,  it is common for loads to experience front, back, and side to side movement. Loading unique size and weight products can mean using a mix of protective packing materials to ensure product arrives safely at its destination.

Using Shippers air bags will reduce load movement and is a better alternative than using pallets, cardboard, or 2x4s. Dunnage bags create a retaining wall that literally locks the load in place.

Watch this video tutorial to see how easy dunnage airbags are to use and install.

LTL Load Example

In most cases, an entire load can be effectively braced with one to three air bags placed properly at the front, middle, and rear of the load.

Airbags can brace an endless variety of products which make them perfect for LTL loading environments.  Dunnage airbags work with odd configurations and can fit in the smallest void spaces. In addition, Shippers Products offers a full range of airbag types and sizes to accommodate your cargo, to ensure your load arrives damage free.
